David grew up in Inkster, Michigan, and graduated from Robichaud High School in Dearborn Heights, MI. He earned an Associate Degree in Business at Henry Ford Community College in 2007. While there, David volunteered at WHFR-FM, producing and occasionally hosting a local music show consisting of one hour local Detroit and Metro Detroit music played from CD’s and Vinyl, with the second hour consisting of local musicians performing and being interviewed on-air, live in studio.

David attended and graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2012 with a degree in Media Productions and New Technologies. At NMU David hosted a radio show at college station WUPX called The Blues Garage. At WUPX, David was Station Engineer for one year, Blues Director for five years and Station Manager for two years.

While Station Manager of WUPX, David worked with fellow students to transition the student radio station into the Digital Age by increasing WUPX’ broadcasting power and getting licensed to broadcast in HD.

David also did sports photography for the student newspaper The NorthWind. He also volunteered occasionally at WNMU-TV, the PBS affiliate in Marquette MI, doing camera work or filling in wherever needed. Before coming to Havre, Montana, David was working as a photographer for Printroom.com at Comerica Park in Detroit.

David has been with New Media Broadcasters since September 6th, 2012. You might find David singing karaoke around town on occasion.
