Joyce "Cissy" Ann (Adams) Rummel, passed away on Tuesday, September 16. Services will be a wake/fellowship at 7:00pm on Sunday, September 21 at the Dodson Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, September 22 at the Dodson School with final interment at the Dodson Hillside Cemetery. Family Violence Stops Here 5k Run/Walk

On Tuesday, September 30 Havre High School is holding a Senior and Parent Planning night in the Auditorium at 6:30pm. Join the Counselors to learn how students, parents and counselors can work together to prepare students for life after high school. C.M. Russell Museum
The C.M. Russell Museum invites you to celebrate American Indian Heritage Day on Saturday, September 27 from 11am-3pm on the museum lawn. This is a free event and you can listen to stories of the Blackfeet culture and learn traditional Native American games like "run and scream," "sticks in fist," and "hoop and arrow." Hearing Screenings
Hearing Screenings will take place in Bear Paw Cooperative member schools from September 25 through November 7. Children enrolled in Kindergarten and 1st grade, and 9th or 10th grade will be screened. No other children will be screened without parental permission. Hunter Safety Course
There will be a Hunter Safety Course from September 29-October 2 at Stone Child College, Room 108 from 6-9pm each evening. Participants must be a minimum of 11 years old, and parents/guardians must come to the first evening for signature cards. For more information, call Mike at 395-4725.
MSUN Community Choir

Notice of Close of Regular Voter Registration
13-2-301, MCA

Notice is hereby given that regular registration for the General Election to held on Tuesday, November 4 will close at 5:00pm on Monday, October 6. If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election through the Monday before the election until noon and again from 7am through 8pm on Election Day. You will have to vote absentee and will not be able to vote at the polls. Between noon and 5pm on the day before Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration card, but you will need to return to the local election office on Election Day to pick up and vote a ballot.

All active and inactive electors of Hill County, Montana are entitled to vote at said election. Inactive electors may reactivate by appearing at the polling place in order to vote, by requesting an absentee ballot in any election, or by notifying the County Election Administrator in writing of the elector's current residence in the county.

Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing before the County Election Administrator, Hill County Courthouse, 315 4th Street, Havre, MT.

If you have moved, please update your information by filling out a new voter registration card and submitting it to the county election office.

Fall Crop Reporting Deadline
November 17 is the 2015 Crop Year FSA Acreage Reporting Deadline for Fall Seeded and perennial crops. To facilitate this crop report the Hill County FSA Office in Havre has 2015 maps ready to go. Producers can stop by the office any time to pick them up. The completed maps should be returned to the FSA Office as soon as fall seeding is complete. Kidz Express begins Tuesday, September 16 at 6:30pm at the Havre Christian School located at 4113 9th Street West. They meet the first and third Monday of the month from 6:30pm-8:00pm. There is no cost and there will be games, crafts and songs.

Wednesday Family Nights
The public is invited to Wednesday Family Nights at the First Baptist Church. A free dinner is provided each night from 6:00-6:30pm. From 6:30-7:30 adults watch a DVD on the subject Parenting by Design: Intentional Principles. Recycle Drive and E-Waste Collection
You can recycle cardboard, paper, magazines, junk mail, aluminum, metal, glass, plastic 1's and 2's and e-waste at Pacific Steel and Recyling every 3rd Saturday of each month from 8am-noon. Call Candi at 899-6513 for more information.
Books and Babies
The Havre-Hill County Library hosts Books and Babies on Wednesdays at 10:15am. This program, where they read books written for a very young audience, is intended to nurture early literacy in babies and toddlers. You can recycle your plastic 1's and 2's at Walmart every 3rd Saturday of the month. Plastics must be rinsed. Lids may also be recycled, but need to be removed from bottles. Call Candi at 899-6513 for further information about recycling on the Hi-Line.
Hi-Line Chapter of the Montana Association for the Blind

NMHC Childbirth and Parenthood Courses
Northern Montana Health Care is now offering Preparation for Childbirth and Parenthood Courses. Topics covered will include information about normal childbirth, labor coping techniques, comfort measures, relaxation skills and breathing patterns, common labor variations and interventions, breastfeeding, and newborn care. This course is eight hours and offered monthly. The fee for the class is $25 and courses will be held at Northern Montana Hospital.
